Two years’ worth of planning and developing will finally culminate Nov. 4 as members of the Allen City Council and city staff cut the ribbon and welcome residents into the new Allen Event Center, located at 200 E. Stacy Road.

In front of a crowd of 100, Mayor Steve Terrell cut the red ribbon signifying the grand opening of the Allen Event Center. “Allen is no longer a little dot on the map; we’ve exploded that dot into something much bigger,” he said.
